I'm sorry it's taken so long to write an update! It's been busy since I arrived! All is good though! I had a safe trip over..even managed to get myself upgraded and slept in my little pod for 10 hours and the other 6 consisted of eating, watching movies and drinking champaign so it wasn't anything short of a luxury trip over! One of my new training mates, Josh Amberger was there to pick me up and he and hi family have taken great care of me since! I arrived on a thursday and b friday we were heading up the coast to Noosa for a big triathlon festival. Open water swimming races, cycling crit, 5k road race and a triathlon! I even got to meet Robbie McEwen! It was a really fun weekend even though I didn't get to race..it was never the intention but I got a little itchy to get out there! Noosa is a stunning place! I've decided I want to live there one day! I better win the lottery though! :) Which reminds me...another one of my new training mates, Jimmy Seear set me up with his family in a penthouse suit with an amazing panoramic view of the city which you could even enjoy from a private hot tub! The picture above is taken from the suit. We stayed there until monday and then headed back to the city where I am starting to get organized! I even bought myself some wheels yesterday! well...2 wheels.. here's a picture of my sweet ride (although mine is black)

Now I have the freedom to go bomb around the city and look at apartments and get set up!

The people here are so fun and easy to get to know! I can't believe the amount of athletes my age here! It's crazy! I am pretty excited to get started here! Everyone is on a week break so I will have time to get settles and then get into a routine.

I was wondering if you'd get to Noosa. I hear it's awesome! You free of the jet lag yet? By the time you find a place, you should be good to go great guns on the training!

It's good to have friends who can set you up for a bit til you get settled!

hey kirsten, I'm a short track speedskater with the national team in Canada. We are heading to asia for the next set of world cups later this month and I was wondering if you could share a couple tips on how you score upgrades all the time. It would be great to fly in style once!

Good luck in australia
