My motivation for blogging seems to be at an all time high! So hello again! Nothing special just a bit of babble about training etc.
First off I would sincerely like to thank the Easter bunny for his role in the return of my strength. Very much appreciated. Sorry you and your young had to be sacrificed in the process. ;)
Yes, my swimming and biking strength is back...possibly at an all time high in the swim category. Have had a few PB sessions in the past few days including sprints the other day holding 30-32's for 24 50s which is a PB for me. Thursday had a great, effortless short rest set, 20x100 on 1:20 comfortably holding 13's and 14's. Today we did a heart rate set... 2x(10x100 1 round swim (9's..average) and i round pull (6's and 7's...PB!) So I am very pleased with that..I was lacking confidence a bit with regard to swimming but that is changing quickly!
Riding has been great too. Had a great team TT session with the girls today. Bella and Laura Luxford, Mel Trimms, Ashleigh Gentle and I put in a great effort and recorded a PB distance for 50mins. Shaun said we were going 40 something km/hr the whole way... Great teamwork today. After that went out to breakfast and then straight to bed. Now it's time for my favourite kind of run..a build run! 1 hr build to threshold. I'm learning to build now instead of 15 min jog..then smack it for 45mins! :)
Yesterday was my day off and i spent it down at the gold coast relaxing at the beach and the surf club with an old friend. Great way to spend a day off! I am running out of opportunities! Only 8 more days in Oz!! ahhh! its a :( and a :D hahaha cant wait to go hooome! and can't wait to get this World Champ Series underway too!

The slow burn approach is working fantastic for you. Yeah chill more, get faster. Gotta Love it. This is going to be a stellar year.
I must try one of those swim workouts.
Do you have any more race dates circled on the Calendar? or are you just going to go with the World Champ Series races?...
It'd be great to have you race on Canadian soil again (with a happier result this time!!!)
;)
